About Therapy
You've done the insight work.
Let's do the rest.
Individual and couples therapy in Brooklyn, NY, and telehealth across New York State
Does This Sound Familiar?
You can explain your patterns better than most people can, your attachment style, where the anxiety started, why you react the way you do. And somehow, you still:
React the same way, no matter how well you understand it
Have the same fight, with the same person, over and over
Can't fully trust what you're feeling, even when you can name it
Manage anxiety that doesn't let up, even when things look fine from the outside
Notice self-criticism or perfectionism, no matter what you accomplish
Feel your partner go quiet instead of getting closer
Feel unmoored by a career change, a new stage of a relationship, becoming a parent, or another major life transition
If any of this feels familiar, you're in the right place.
Individual Therapy
For people ready to change the pattern, not just narrate it.
I work with adults navigating anxiety and chronic stress, burnout and depression, low self-esteem, shame and perfectionism, boundary struggles, attachment patterns, and life transitions. Some of you are new to therapy. Many of you aren't, you've been before, gained real understanding, and found that insight alone didn't change how it felt to live your life.
Individual therapy with me can take one of two shapes:
Ongoing Therapy — Open-ended work, paced around you, for people who want space to keep going without a fixed endpoint.
The 16-Week Intensive — A structured, experiential path built around one clear goal. (Full details below.)
Couples Therapy
For partners ready to feel like a team again.
Using Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), I work with couples caught in recurring cycles: the same argument on repeat, one or both of you withdrawing instead of repairing, a slow drift from closeness that neither of you chose. This work isn't about learning better communication scripts. It's about understanding the cycle you're both stuck in, and building the kind of repair that lets you feel connected again, not just conflict-free.
Couples work with me is ongoing, paced to your relationship and needs.
The 16-Week Intensive
One goal. Sixteen sessions. A clear container for real change.
-
The 16-Week Intensive is a structured, experiential therapy process built around a single, specific goal you set at the start of our work together. It's sixteen sessions, no more, no less, designed to help you move past urgency and old protective patterns, reconnect with yourself, and create change that actually holds.
This isn't therapy without direction, and it isn't a quick fix either. It's a deliberate middle path: enough time to slow down and do real experiential work, with a clear beginning and end so the process never becomes indefinite.
-
Finding Your Goal — We start by getting specific. Not a vague sense of "feeling better," but one clear, meaningful goal that will guide everything we do together.
The Work — Across the following sessions, we slow down and work experientially: with emotion, with the body, with what's happening between us in real time, not just the story of how you got here.
Integration — In the final sessions, we bring the work together, so the change you've made has a chance to hold outside of session.
-
The 16-Week Intensive is a strong fit if you want a defined goal and a natural endpoint, if open-ended therapy has felt directionless in the past, or if you're the kind of person who does well with structure and a clear sense of "why we're here." It's individual work only; couples work with me is ongoing rather than time-limited.
You may transition into traditional, ongoing individual therapy after the intensive is complete.
-
Most therapy is open-ended, and for many people, that's exactly right. The 16-Week Intensive exists for people who want something else: a defined process, a specific goal, and the confidence that comes from meaningful, lasting change, built one session at a time.
Areas of Focus
-
Anxious moments pass through you instead of taking over your whole day.
-
Reconnect with parts of life that have felt out of reach, energy, motivation, moments of genuine enjoyment.
-
Build a relationship with yourself that isn't dependent on performance, so you can rest in who you are, not just what you accomplish.
-
Learn to trust and be trusted more fully, breaking patterns that have kept closeness out of reach.
-
Process what's happened at a pace that feels safe, so the past holds less weight in your present.
-
Trust your own judgment, and set limits that protect your energy without the guilt that used to follow.
-
Find solid ground in the middle of change, and a clearer sense of who you're becoming. For people navigating any big life change, such as career shifts, parenting, midlife and menopause, relationship changes, etc.
-
Build the kind of repair that turns conflict into closeness, so you feel like a team again, not opponents.
